Today, cycle through southern Alentejo, with its vast plains and small traditional villages, to reach the Serra de Caldeirão in northern Algarve. We consider this portion of National Route 2 one of the most magnificent, winding through cork oak forests.
The last 30 km are mostly downhill, leading you from Barranco do Velho to Faro. Don’t miss the essential photo stop at the last roundabout of National Route 2 to mark the end of your challenge!
You’ll stay in one of the many hotels in Faro’s city center, just steps away from restaurants, the old town, and the marina. The next morning, you’ll be only 10 minutes from Faro Airport for your departure.
It’s time to say goodbye. The National Route 2 experience has come to an end. We will arrange your transfer to Faro Airport, as well as your transport to the train station or bus stop for the next leg of your journey.
We can also arrange a transfer to Lisbon Airport (3 hours by road) for an additional fee.
